Car Headlight Polishing in Dubai

Cloudy outer lenses can make your headlights look tired and reduce the light reaching the road. Restore suitable surface oxidation before considering the cost of complete lamp replacement.

Our Al Quoz team assesses the lenses first, then agrees polishing and compatible UV protection. Cracks, water inside the lamp and electrical faults need a different repair decision. Ask for a written price covering both headlights.

Start with the cause of the haze

Will polishing help your headlights

A cloudy appearance can come from the outer surface or from inside the assembly. Cleaning and inspection help separate a restorable lens from a lamp that needs fault finding.

Assess restoration first

  • Yellowing or a milky film on the outer plastic
  • Weathered surface coating on an otherwise sound lens
  • Light external scuffs that can be treated safely
  • Both lamps working with no obvious housing damage

If the damage is limited to a suitable outer surface, restoration can retain the existing lamp and avoid replacing a complete assembly unnecessarily.

Investigate beyond polishing

  • Cracks or deep crazing through the lens
  • Water droplets or persistent moisture inside
  • Broken mounting points or damaged housings
  • Flickering, warning messages or a lamp that stays off

Outer polishing cannot repair internal reflectors, electronics, seals or structural damage. We explain the finding before you approve cosmetic work.

Headlight restoration pricing for one lamp or a pair

Agree the number of lenses before comparing a price. The work can change with lens size, existing coatings, previous repairs and the level of surface deterioration.

AED 150–250

Our existing car polishing price guide lists this headlight restoration estimate. It does not specify one lamp versus a pair, the protective product or VAT treatment, so it is not a confirmed two-headlight package.

From assessment to a clear finish

How the lens restoration is planned

The amount of correction follows the lens condition and the approved product method. Heavy sanding is not automatically the right treatment for every headlight.

Keep the improvement for longer

Polishing and UV protection do different jobs

Polishing improves a suitable damaged surface. The protective finish helps limit renewed UV deterioration. A quick shine without a defined protection step is not the same service.

Name the protection

Ask which lens-compatible coating or sealant is being applied. A generic paint wax, an unspecified ceramic coating and a dedicated headlight product are not automatically interchangeable.

Follow the cure instructions

Collection time, dry-to-touch time and first-wash time can differ. Confirm restrictions on water, washing and cleaning products for the actual finish before leaving.

Get the support terms

Ask for any warranty period, covered condition and claim process in writing. Do not apply a body-PPF warranty to polished lenses or assume a manufacturer’s maximum claim is the garage’s promise.

Durability depends on the condition underneath, preparation, selected product, exposure and care. No permanent result or fixed service life is promised without the applicable product and job record.

Know what a brighter lens cannot fix

Separate oxidation from moisture and light output

A light mist inside a lamp can sometimes clear as conditions change. Persistent droplets or collected water need inspection of the assembly, seals and ventilation. Polishing the outside cannot remove trapped water.

When restoration is not enough

Choose the correct lamp or replacement part

A replacement decision should identify the actual failed component. Do not compare a bare lens, a used assembly and a complete new headlamp as though they include the same work.

Match the vehicle specification

Use the VIN, model year, side and lamp part number. Halogen, xenon, LED and adaptive systems can use different housings, modules and control functions.

Check what the part includes

Ask whether bulbs, modules, seals and mounting components are supplied or transferred. Confirm condition and warranty for any used or aftermarket assembly.

Separate fitting from setup

If removal or replacement is needed, list labor and any specified coding, initialization or beam setting. Those costs are outside an ordinary outer-lens polish.

Keep clear protection separate

Headlight film is a different application. Discuss lens compatibility and the proposed product with our headlight protection service. Film is not a repair for a cracked or oxidized lens.

Plan the visit and protect the finish

What to send and what to check at collection

Send the model and year, a front view, and close photos of both lenses in daylight. Tell us about condensation, warning lights, previous restoration and any existing film.

Before you arrive

Confirm a workshop slot and whether the photos suggest a restoration assessment or a lighting fault. The final decision follows inspection.

Before collection

Confirm the finish is ready for the planned handover, review both lamps in similar lighting and note any remaining damage. Obtain the exact first-wash guidance.

During normal care

Use the cleaning method approved for the finish. Avoid abrasive rubbing and unapproved strong chemicals. Clean dirt gently rather than grinding it into the lens.

If haze returns

Keep the invoice and product details. Ask for an assessment before adding another coating or attempting to sand the lens again.

The result and the alternatives

Will polishing make the headlights exactly like new?

Not necessarily. Improvement depends on where the damage is and how much suitable surface remains. Internal haze, deep cracks and reflector deterioration may remain.

Is cloudy plastic always a reason to replace the whole headlight?

No. External oxidation on a structurally sound, compatible lens may be restorable. Cracks, internal damage or other faults can change that recommendation.

Does restoration include a brighter bulb or LED conversion?

No. Lens restoration treats the outer surface. Light-source replacement, electrical work and conversion questions are separate.

Price timing and care

Is AED 150–250 the price for both headlights?

The existing published estimate does not state a pair basis. Ask for a written total for both lamps that identifies the protection step, extras and VAT before booking.

Can I wait while you polish the lights?

Confirm after the lenses and protective product are assessed. Preparation and curing can affect the collection time, so a short polishing stage is not a guaranteed wait-time appointment.

Will restoration guarantee a vehicle inspection pass?

No. Inspection depends on the complete lighting system and the applicable requirements. Cosmetic clarity does not establish correct output, beam aim or lamp condition.

Find out whether your headlights can be restored

Send clear photos of both lenses and tell us what you notice at night. Our Al Quoz team will help separate surface restoration from a lamp fault and confirm the work and pair quotation before you approve it.
