Sound, prepared surfaces
Discuss a compatible underbody or cavity product, access, masking, coverage and follow-up inspection.
AMF Auto Services LLC · Al Quoz · Dubai
Protect suitable, prepared areas after the condition of the vehicle is checked. Underbody coating, cavity protection and corrosion repair are different jobs.
The old page quoted AED 300–700 for underbody work and AED 500–1,200 for a wider treatment. Those are historical estimates, not confirmed packages.
Send the model, year and clear photos of any rust. A photo helps triage but cannot prove hidden metal is sound.

Start with the condition
A protective layer is useful only on a suitable substrate and in a defined area. Existing damage needs assessment before anyone covers it.
Discuss a compatible underbody or cavity product, access, masking, coverage and follow-up inspection.
Remove accessible dirt first. Heavy oil residue may indicate a leak that needs diagnosis.
Explore undercarriage cleaningHoles, lost section, damaged lines or mounts need a mechanical or body repair assessment, not a protective coating.
Historical price references
The previous page did not define a stocked product, preparation or coverage for its figures. These are retained only as historical references until the business verifies a current offer.
| Old page description | Historic estimate | Missing scope to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Underbody application | AED 300–700 | Exact product/SKU, lift and undertray work, preparation, coated zones, masking, cure and reinspection. |
| Wider rust proofing | AED 500–1,200 | Whether cavity treatment is included, access points, product compatibility, coverage and exclusions. |
Confirm VAT, vehicle size, condition, cleaning, removal/refitting, separate repair work, product quantity, warranty terms and collection time in writing. The ranges above are not a current price promise.
Before an application

Check wheel housings, exposed floor, seams, covers, drain points and visible lines after suitable cleaning. Photograph corrosion, loose coatings and leaks before surface preparation.
Undertrays, liners and closed cavities may hide defects. Removal and refitting must be in the quoted scope; a visual check of exposed areas is not a structural certification.
A clean, suitable substrate
Cleaning, dryness, surface condition and the product instructions determine adhesion and coverage. Applying over trapped moisture, oil, loose scale or failing coating can hide a problem rather than solve it.
Ask whether old loose material, spot corrosion or a damaged factory coating requires a separate process. Rust removal and panel repair should never be silently folded into a generic undercoat.
List covers, liners and shields removed, and how they are refitted.
Specify deposits removed and how the surface is dried and checked.
Separate sound coating from loose rust or failed paint; pause where metal loss is suspected.
The exact system matters
The old copy mentioned oil, wax and electronic inhibitors together, and referred to 3M without an identified item. No current stock record or installation package was supplied. A quote should name the product, manufacturer, SKU and technical instructions for the chosen area.
| Decision | Underbody coating | Cavity protection |
|---|---|---|
| Where | Specified exposed surfaces only, with component exclusions. | Specified enclosed seams or cavities only, with approved access. |
| Preparation | Clean, dry, sound substrate and compatibility with existing coating. | Check cavity condition, drain paths, access and product instructions. |
| Handover | List coated zones, cure or no-drive guidance, photos and checks. | List treated cavities, access points, drain protection and inspection interval. |
These are distinct product categories, not a claim that both are always needed. We do not offer an electronic rust-inhibitor benefit on this page without a named device and credible evidence for the vehicle.
Mask and exclude
A product may have specific approved substrates and exclusions. Manufacturer instructions for example undercoats call for clean, prepared surfaces and avoid hot, moving or electrical components. The selected SKU determines the final map.
Specified floor or wheel housing surfaces only after inspection and preparation.
Brakes, exhaust, sensors, connectors, moving parts, labels and service points.
Do not block drain holes, vents or intended inspection access.
Record each treated area and any hidden section left untreated.
See 3M’s corrosion protection guidance as a product-category example. It does not verify a 3M system is stocked or used here.
A firm suitability boundary
Surface discoloration on otherwise sound metal and penetrated corrosion do not have the same remedy. Loose scale, holes, swollen seams, soft lift points, rusted brake or fuel lines and weakened mounts call for a qualified repair assessment.
Only after inspection finds a suitable substrate and a defined product/application plan.
Metal loss or safety-critical component corrosion needs diagnosis and a separate repair quote.
Where condition is uncertain, do not spray a black layer and describe it as restored.

One vehicle, one plan
An exposed underside may need a coating compatible with its existing finish. An enclosed cavity may need a different approved material and application route. Some vehicles need neither, and a damaged area may need repair before any protection.
The quote should state which route is recommended and why. Product properties, access and the vehicle maker’s instructions matter more than a blanket promise that both treatments are necessary.
Before collection
No single cure or driving time applies to every wax, oil or coating. The installer should state the chosen SKU’s instructions, when the car can be driven or washed, and whether a later inspection is needed.
Manufacturer, SKU, batch if available, treated zones and excluded zones.
Before/after photos of accessible work and noted areas for repair.
Application date, drying/cure guidance, safe collection time and care instructions.
Measured term, coverage, inspection obligations, exclusions and written remedy if offered.
Protection is inspected
Road abrasion, off-road use, impact damage and later repairs can disturb a coating. Follow the product and vehicle instructions for washing and inspection. Ask which areas can be checked without removing covers and whether a paid reapplication is needed.
New rust staining, bubbling, loose edges, blocked drains or a fresh leak warrant inspection rather than another layer.
Confirm the repaired area’s corrosion protection is restored to the repair specification; it may not be covered by the original treatment.
Make the offer measurable
Send the make, model, year, powertrain and photos of the affected areas. Mention any previous undercoat, flood or off-road use, accident repair, active leak and visible flaking.
The workshop may need a lift check before final price. An estimate based on a photograph is provisional.
Before you book
No. Cleaning and any local surface preparation must be assessed separately. A protective layer cannot restore metal that has been lost.
Only if the vehicle condition, product specifications and access justify both. Ask for each application area and product in the quote.
No current SKU was verified for this page. Ask the team to provide the exact stocked product, technical sheet and written coverage before approving work.
This page makes no electronic-treatment claim. Any proposed device needs a named model, suitability evidence and a clear installation scope.
They are historical estimates from the prior page. Current package scope, availability and payable total need business confirmation.
Loose corrosion and a leak need assessment first. Coating over contamination or weakened metal can obscure the condition.
That depends on the chosen product and application. Request written drying, cure and collection guidance for the exact SKU.
Ask for the actual written term, covered areas, inspection schedule and exclusions. No unverified warranty period is promised here.
