The pattern must suit the actual bumper, lights and painted panels.

Start with the exposed paint

How much of your Tesla needs film?

Front-end PPF concentrates your budget on forward-facing painted panels. Full-body PPF extends that barrier to the sides and rear. Neither option makes the car immune to damage, and an interior kit does a different job altogether.

01A focused starting point

Full front protection

Cover the front bumper, complete hood, front fenders and eligible mirror caps. A full hood avoids a film boundary across the middle of the panel.

  • For highway driving and exposed front paint
  • Mirror caps and bumper details depend on the vehicle
  • Glass, headlights, pillars and roof quoted separately

Focus your budget on the leading painted surfaces. Side and rear panels remain outside this package.

Front panels listed individually
02Broader paint coverage

Full body protection

Add eligible painted doors, rear quarters, rear bumper and other agreed exterior panels. Confirm the charge-port flap, handles, pillars and any painted spoiler separately. Glass roofs and textured plastics are not painted body panels.

Your benefit More consistent coverage around the vehicle, with a larger material and fitting budget.

More panels and fitting work
03Small areas, separate decision

High wear and interior pieces

Discuss lower rear doors, loading areas, door cups or suitable hard interior trim. These pieces can address a specific wear point without buying a complete exterior package.

Interior film is limited to compatible hard surfaces. Steering-wheel grips, airbag covers, seats, belts, switches and camera lenses are excluded.

Tesla PPF cost and what changes the quote

These Dubai market starting prices cover general vehicles. They help set a budget for comparing front and full exterior protection. Your Tesla’s film, panel list, condition and installation work determine our written quote.

These published Dubai market starting figures include VAT. They are another provider’s prices, not Wrapping.ae offers or Tesla-specific packages. The exact supplied film and final total belong in your quotation.

Keep these in the written price

  • Manufacturer and exact film series
  • Panel list and gloss or satin finish
  • Cleaning and agreed paint preparation
  • Pattern, seams and edge approach
  • Fitting, inspection and handover terms

Ask about separate charges

  • Old film, adhesive or coating removal
  • Paint correction or previous paint repairs
  • Badges, trim work and replacement clips
  • Extra lower panels or interior pieces
  • Optional compatible coating over the film

Compare front and full on the same film

Compare front and full exterior coverage using the same film. Changing both the product and panel list makes it harder to see what the extra spend buys. We can prepare the alternatives after discussing your Tesla.

Two Tesla protection budgets to compare

These typical job estimates apply the general market starting guides to proposed Tesla work. They are planning examples, not completed jobs, fixed model prices or current Wrapping.ae offers. The written quote confirms the supplied product, exact coverage and total before you decide.

Typical job estimate

2024 Model 3 front protection

From AED 4,950 market guide

The proposed clear-film job covers the complete hood, front bumper, front fenders and eligible mirror caps on sound painted surfaces. The guide includes VAT, but the published source does not establish the exact film or fitting details for this Tesla.

Compare that scope with the pattern and edge treatment in your own quote. Glass, lights, additional lower panels, coating removal and paint correction require separate decisions. This approach suits a driver prioritizing forward-facing painted surfaces over a full exterior finish.

Typical job estimate

2023 Model Y exterior protection

From AED 13,500 market guide

The proposed work extends clear film across the agreed front, side and rear painted panels. Confirm handles, the charge-port flap and eligible spoiler areas individually. The general market starting guide includes VAT and does not establish a Tesla-specific installation price.

Factory or existing lower-door patches need review before new film is planned. Glass roof panels, textured wheel-arch trim, interior pieces and old-film removal are separate unless listed. A satin finish requires its own product and price comparison rather than being assumed within this clear-film guide.

Before anything is covered

Prepare the paint before protecting it

Clear film being smoothed across a white Tesla hood
Preparation is completed before clear film is positioned on the paint.

PPF covers paint. It does not repair loose lacquer, fill a stone chip or undo a poor respray. Even a recently delivered Tesla can have marks that you would rather address before they sit beneath clear film.

01

Check the paint underneath

Repainted panels, touch-ups, repaired bumper corners and loose clear coat need inspection. Record visible defects before installation so existing damage is not hidden beneath the film.

02

Prepare a surface the film can bond to

Tell us about ceramic coating, wax, sealant or existing PPF. Cleaning and any agreed coating or adhesive removal come before fitting. Paint correction or repairs are separate work to approve.

03

Confirm the finish is ready

Fresh paint needs the paint supplier’s cure guidance. A coated surface may need further preparation. Check remaining chips, scratches and any adhesion or removal risks before clear film covers the panel.

If a mark bothers you now, mention it before installation. Clear protection is not a shortcut around paint preparation.

Model, build and body details

Your Tesla needs the right pattern

Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X have different body revisions and fittings. The model name is enough to start. We can check the build details, replacement panels and accessories as the quote develops.

Tesla details that affect coverage
VehicleWhat needs checkingWhy it matters
Model 3Earlier body or refreshed body, bumper shape, lights and fitted accessoriesThe cut pattern and edge access must match the actual car
Model YEarlier or refreshed body, front camera if fitted, lower doors and wheel-arch trimOpenings and lower-body protection differ by build
Model S and Model XBody revision, handles, trim and door arrangementsPanel access and fitting time need a vehicle-specific assessment
Modified or repaired TeslaReplacement panels, spoilers, repaint history and existing filmStandard patterns may need adjustment and paint risks may differ

This page covers film on suitable painted Tesla surfaces. A stainless-steel Cybertruck needs a separate material and finish discussion.

Keep the working parts clear

Camera lenses, washer outlets, sensors where fitted, lights, cooling openings and moving gaps need a defined exclusion or product-specific fitting decision. Film must not obstruct a camera. Do not assume that covering the body means covering every component.

Agree edges and trim access

Ask where film will stop, which edges can be wrapped and where a seam may remain. Any badge or trim removal should be agreed in advance. A promise of invisible edges everywhere is not a useful substitute for an actual fitting plan.

The refreshed Model Y has another front camera to protect

Tesla’s UAE manual for the 2025 and later Model Y shows a camera above the front grille with a sprayer nozzle. Both need an unobstructed view and working clearance. Earlier vehicles can have a different sensor arrangement, so a kit should follow the actual equipment instead of the registration year alone.

At handover, review the camera views, charge-port movement and any trim that was disturbed. A warning that appears after fitting needs assessment. Covering the warning or simply resetting a system is not an installation check.

Choose the surface and the protection

PPF, ceramic coating and finish choices

Start with the look you want. Then choose whether your priority is a physical protective film, easier cleaning, or both with compatible products.

Physical film

Keep a clear gloss finish

Transparent gloss PPF keeps a glossy appearance and helps absorb minor surface wear. XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS is one named product reference to discuss.

Check before fitting Confirm the supplied series and the finish of your existing paint.

Physical film

Choose a lower sheen

Satin-finish PPF changes the surface appearance on suitable painted panels. XPEL STEALTH is a satin-finish reference, not an automatic match for every factory matte finish.

Check before fitting Review a sample and agree which panels receive the finish.

Optional surface treatment

Where ceramic coating fits

A liquid ceramic coating can make cleaning easier when used as directed. It does not replace the physical film barrier used for stone-chip protection. A compatible coating over PPF is separate, optional work.

Compare ceramic coating

Confirm the product on your quote Local availability, the supplied series and UAE warranty eligibility need confirmation. Compare named options on our XPEL PPF page. The finish illustrations above are visual guides, not product samples.

Understand the protection limits Neither finish replaces body repair or prevents dents. Self-healing applies only to eligible minor topcoat marks under the manufacturer’s conditions. Deep cuts, punctures and underlying paint damage do not disappear.

Choose the boundary as well as the coverage

Want extra protection around the lower doors?

Show us the actual wear near the wheels and lower painted panels. Compare a targeted patch with full-door coverage before choosing a larger kit by model name alone.

Focused coverage

A targeted lower patch

Concentrates film on an agreed area where you have noticed debris marks.

Coverage
A defined part of the painted panel. Check that it reaches the area you are concerned about.
Visible edge
A boundary can remain visible at close range, especially when dust gathers around it.
Choose when
You want a smaller, specific installation and accept the location of the film edge.
Wider coverage

The full painted door panel

Extends protection across the quoted door panel rather than stopping at a small patch.

Coverage
The agreed painted door surface. Handles, trim and adjacent panels need their own scope.
Visible edge
Avoids a small patch boundary through the middle of the panel. Confirm the perimeter finish.
Choose when
You prefer wider coverage and accept the extra material and installation cost.
Before approving either option
  1. 01Check for an existing factory or previous protective patch
  2. 02Agree whether it is removed, replaced or left outside the new film
  3. 03Mark the coverage and visible edges on your actual vehicle

Compare individual panels and wider packages with our paint protection film service. Existing damage needs assessment before film is applied.

Plan the handover

Book around preparation and inspection

Start with your model and whether you want front or full exterior protection. Preparation, fitting and inspection need their own time allowances. We will discuss the expected drop-off and collection window after the coverage and paint condition are assessed.

Choose the coverage

Tell us what you want to protect and whether you prefer gloss or satin. Photos and paint history are helpful follow-ups if available.

Approve the written work

Confirm film identity, covered panels, any dismantling, preparation, total price and the expected collection time.

Inspect at handover

Review edges, seams and agreed exclusions together. Raise an unexpected mark or lifting edge before leaving.

Follow the film’s care sheet

Keep the product-specific wash waiting period and care instructions. Contact the workshop if an edge changes or a concern persists.

Clear terms from installation to aftercare

Warranty and care that match your film

Leave with the product details, fitting support and cleaning instructions in writing. They answer different questions if an issue appears later.

Separate material and fitting cover

Material cover concerns the film. Installation support concerns the fitting work. Check each period, exclusions and available remedy. Do not assume overseas terms apply in the UAE or that stone impacts and existing paint defects are covered.

Clean for the installed finish

Follow the film manufacturer’s cleaning instructions. Avoid abrasive products and concentrated pressure at the edges. Tell your detailer whether the film is gloss or satin before polishing is discussed. Check care exclusions for misuse and neglected contamination.

Inspect before removal

Age, sun exposure, adhesion and factory or repaired paint condition affect removal. Damage-free removal cannot be promised for every repainted panel. Arrange an inspection if film is cracking or lifting and quote removal as separate work.

Manufacturer example

Read the exclusions with the term

Read XPEL warranty terms

XPEL publishes a ten-year limited product warranty for ULTIMATE PLUS and STEALTH against specified manufacturing defects. Physical impact damage is excluded, and conditions apply to care, installation and proof of purchase. Its current terms also exclude use of non-XPEL ceramic coatings.

This example does not confirm local stock, installer authorization or your package terms. Have the applicable product warranty and separate fitting support identified in writing before installation.

Tesla PPF questions

How much does Tesla PPF cost in Dubai?

General Dubai market starting guides are AED 4,950 for full-front clear PPF and AED 13,500 for full-vehicle clear PPF, including VAT. These are another provider’s published figures, not Tesla-specific or Wrapping.ae offers. Your quote identifies the actual film, panels, preparation, fitting and final total.

Is full-front PPF enough for my Tesla?

It may suit an owner who mainly wants protection on forward-facing painted panels. Side and rear paint remain outside that package. Compare full-body coverage if you also want a film barrier over doors and rear panels.

Can you install PPF over existing ceramic coating?

The coating and paint need assessment first. Surface preparation or removal may be needed for reliable adhesion. Tell us what product was used and when it was applied before accepting an installation schedule.

Will PPF affect my Tesla cameras?

Camera lenses and their view must remain unobstructed. The fitting plan must account for the cameras and sensors actually present on your build. Film work is not a substitute for diagnosing an existing camera warning.

Does the package include my glass roof and interior?

Not unless those items are listed separately with an appropriate product. Exterior paint film, glazing products and interior trim protection are different jobs. Airbag areas and steering-wheel grips are excluded from interior film work.

How long will my Tesla stay at the workshop?

The time depends on panel coverage, preparation, existing-film removal and trim access. Ask for the expected drop-off and collection window after the vehicle and product are confirmed. A small kit and full-body job should not share a blanket turnaround promise.

Can I replace one damaged section later?

Often a separately fitted panel can be assessed for replacement. The paint underneath and adjacent film need checking. Product availability, age and finish differences can affect the match and cost.

Is ceramic coating the same as Tesla PPF?

No. PPF is a fitted film over selected surfaces. Ceramic coating is a cured liquid treatment that can make suitable surfaces easier to clean. It does not replace the physical film barrier. Any coating over PPF needs to be compatible with the exact film and its warranty terms.

Tesla owner guidance varies by build and market. Use the manual supplied for your car alongside the fitted film’s care instructions.
