RV wrapping services

Choose the type of RV wrap you want

Refresh a tired touring vehicle, create a completely different color or give a rental motorhome its own identity. Choose the job that matches the change you want to see.

Full color-change wrapping

Change the appearance of suitable exterior panels with a selected colored vinyl. Gloss gives stronger reflections, satin softens them and matte creates a flatter finish. We plan the cab, living-body panels and door faces together so the new color looks intentional around the vehicle.

This suits an owner who likes the RV but wants a different exterior. The roof, glass, seals and door openings are separate coverage decisions.

Custom printed RV wraps

Add a landscape, graphic pattern, personalized design or company livery. Our design assistance turns your artwork or reference idea into a layout around the actual windows, storage hatches and body panels. Keep glazing, seals, vents and safety markings clear unless a separately suitable and permitted treatment is agreed.

Printed wrapping suits individual leisure vehicles as well as rental branding. Your design can cover selected areas or run across the agreed sides, front and rear.

Partial RV wraps and accents

Change a lower body area, selected panels or a defined graphic band while keeping more of the original finish visible. A partial wrap can give the RV a new identity without committing to a full color change.

We use the remaining body color as part of the design and agree the boundaries before fitting. Any color difference left by old graphics needs to be considered in that layout.

Replacement stripes and decals

Replace worn decorative stripes, add a vehicle name or refresh logos and lettering. You can keep the familiar proportions of the old design or choose a cleaner, simpler arrangement.

Existing graphic removal and adhesive cleanup are assessed alongside the new work. Send older photographs or artwork if you want help recreating a previous design.

RV wrapping cost

What should you budget for RV wrapping?

A graphics project and a printed body wrap cover different amounts of work. The published van-body example below is a budget comparison for a suitable van-based camper, not a Wrapping.ae package price or a quote for a larger motorhome.

Commercial caravan graphics

Choose the graphics, artwork and exact panels before comparing costs. We quote caravan logos, replacement stripes and selected-panel designs by the actual vehicle dimensions, surface condition and installation work.

Printed van-body wrap

An advertised commercial-van example including design, printing and professional fitting to the body except the roof. It is a useful comparison for a van-based camper's printed exterior, subject to its actual conversion and body. The current listing does not clearly state VAT treatment. Any permit or approval charges are separate from the body-wrap comparison.

A coachbuilt motorhome or large trailer needs its own measured quote. We price the length and height, selected sides and end panels, film, artwork and surface preparation. Old-graphic removal, repairs, roof coverage and accessory work are identified separately where needed. Your quotation states the final AED total and VAT treatment.

Film brands and finishes

3M wrapping options for your RV

We offer 3M vinyl wrapping at Wrapping.ae. For an RV, the film is selected for the job as well as the color, because a painted cab, a fiberglass side and a printed design can need different products.

Colored film for a new finish

For suitable painted panels, a pre-colored wrap creates the new color and sheen. Compare physical samples in gloss, satin or matte beside the trim you are keeping. A metallic or special-effect finish is another option to discuss when it suits the vehicle and selected film.

The material needs to work around the actual body shape. The same film should not be assumed suitable for every molding, corrugation or roof surface.

Printable film for custom artwork

Printed graphics use a printable film system. 3M's IJ180mC family includes recreational-vehicle applications, while the exact variant and compatible laminate depend on the surface and design.

We discuss the material for your job before production. A product-family example does not mean every variant or finish is held in stock, so availability is confirmed for the selected design.

If you have a particular manufacturer's film in mind, include it in your inquiry. We can discuss its suitability and availability rather than replace it with an unnamed material. The agreed manufacturer, film and finish should be clear in the quotation.

Body coverage

Plan the coverage around the body

A motorhome, camper van and towable caravan have different shapes. Choose the areas to change before judging a design from one side-view image.

Coverage What it changes Details to include
Full exterior design A coordinated look across suitable outer body panels, including the agreed sides, front and rear. Storage doors, entry door and slide-out faces. Roof, glass, seals and textured fittings are separate surfaces.
Partial wrap Selected panels or graphic areas, with the original exterior becoming part of the design. Where the graphic ends and how it meets existing colors, trim and previous decal outlines.
Stripes and decals Individual graphics, names or branding without covering the whole body. Old-decal removal, matching artwork and any color difference left by earlier graphics.

Slide-outs need consideration in both travel and extended positions. Film must finish around openings and moving parts without restricting their operation.

Vehicle construction

Different bodies need different wrapping plans

The name on the registration does not describe every surface. The cab, living area and exterior fittings can use different materials on the same vehicle, so the wrapping plan follows the body itself.

Camper vans with painted panels

A van conversion usually keeps much of its original painted steel body. Sliding doors, deep channels and rear door edges divide the artwork into separate areas. A stripe can look continuous with the doors closed while the film finishes correctly at each opening.

The conversion may also have added a pop-top, replacement window panels or external storage. These additions need their own surface assessment. They should not automatically receive the same film treatment as the original doors.

Coachbuilt motorhomes

A coachbuilt motorhome combines a cab with a larger habitation body. The transition between them can make an ambitious color change more involved than a long, flat side suggests. The over-cab section, corner moldings and sloping nose need to be included in the design discussion.

On fiberglass surfaces, the condition of the gelcoat matters. Smooth-looking panels can still carry oxidation or previous repairs that affect preparation and later removal.

Caravans and travel trailers

A towable caravan offers broad side panels, but windows, service hatches and corrugations can interrupt the design. A graphic placed over a textured or ribbed surface will follow that shape. It will not make the body look like a flat sheet.

Color choices also need to work with the front cover, rear moldings and existing trim. Leaving those pieces unchanged can be a deliberate part of a partial wrap.

Fifth wheels and expanding bodies

Large trailers can have several slide-out faces and long runs of graphic material. A design should make sense with the slide-outs closed for travel and when they are extended at a campsite.

Film boundaries must preserve the movement of seals and panels. A continuous-looking pattern is a visual arrangement across separate pieces, not a reason to bridge a moving joint.

Decal removal and replacement

Refresh faded graphics without changing the whole RV

Replacing worn stripes can be the right job when you still like the vehicle's original color. We can plan a matching-style refresh or redesign the graphics around the windows, doors and trim you want to keep.

Old material is assessed before the new layout is finalized. Brittle film, loose edges and adhesive residue can add removal work. A newly exposed area may also differ in color from the surrounding weathered body.

Choose a repair or a complete graphic refresh

A damaged local piece can be assessed on its own. Where the neighboring film has aged or the original material is unavailable, renewing a complete stripe or side design may look more consistent than a small patch.

Send a wider photograph and close-ups of the worst areas. We will discuss what needs removing, what can remain and whether surface work is needed before fitting. New graphics do not repair cracked gelcoat or loose paint.

For a rental vehicle or company trailer, this is also an opportunity to update contact details and the layout. Our commercial vehicle wrapping service can help with a wider branding project.

Surface preparation

The surface beneath the design matters

Vinyl follows the surface underneath it. Cracked gelcoat, peeling paint and damaged body panels need attention before wrapping. A new graphic cannot repair those defects or seal a leaking joint.

Weathered fiberglass can leave a chalky residue that interferes with adhesion. Cleaning and a surface check establish whether it is stable enough for film. If oxidation continues to shed, further preparation or renewed gelcoat may be necessary.

Old decals also need assessment. Their edges, adhesive residue and the color difference beneath them can affect a new finish. Previously painted or repaired areas need suitable curing and sound adhesion before installation.

From the design to the fitted wrap

  1. Measure and map the body

The layout accounts for windows, vents, lights, hatches and accessories. A design proof shows where graphics sit before the material is prepared.

  2. Prepare and fit the film

Suitable panels are cleaned and prepared. The film is fitted with planned joins and edges around body seams, sealants and fittings. Large sides may need several sections.

  3. Check the openings and finish

Doors and covered hatches should work freely, with lights and vents unobstructed. Handover includes care guidance for the selected film and attention to any exposed edges.

Design assistance

Custom graphics designed around your RV

Bring your artwork, a color reference or an idea. We help plan how it will look across the vehicle, then agree the layout before the material is prepared.

A design that reads from a distance

Large panels give room for a clear graphic, but the main image or logo needs a useful position. We plan around windows, handles and vents so those details do not break up the part you want people to notice.

For a rental motorhome, clear branding and readable contact information may matter more than filling every available area. For a private RV, the design can be as restrained or distinctive as you prefer.

One visual layout across opening panels

The design can line up across locker doors and slide-out faces while the film finishes separately at each opening. Doors, seals and moving sections must remain free to operate.

Long sides may need several pieces of film. Their joins and the graphic placement are planned together, including how the design looks with commonly used hatches open.

Original logo files and high-quality images help when producing printed artwork. A screenshot is useful as a style reference but may not reproduce well at motorhome size. Physical color samples and the agreed layout give you a clearer basis for choosing the finished look.

Coverage agreed before fitting

The quotation identifies the panels, material and preparation, including any removal work needed before the new film.

Aftercare and fitting support

Request the named film’s applicable warranty and the separate installation-support terms in writing. Confirm the covered panels, duration, exclusions, claim contact and whether removal or refitting labor is included.

Care between trips

Keeping the wrap looking its best

Parked exposure matters as well as mileage. A roof or upward-facing panel receives different exposure from a vertical side, so one lifespan figure should not be applied to every part of the RV.

  • Use gentle washing and cleaning products suited to the film.
  • Remove bird droppings and other deposits without abrasive scrubbing.
  • Keep strong water jets away from joins and edges.
  • Have lifting, cracking or damaged areas assessed before deterioration spreads.

Our color-change and branding work includes support for material defects and workmanship errors. The period and covered areas depend on the selected product and agreed work. Accidental damage, vandalism and improper care are excluded.

Can an older motorhome be wrapped?

Often, but its surface condition decides the preparation. Sound paint or suitable fiberglass can support a wrap. Cracking, loose paint, chalking and failing decals need assessment first. Photographs help identify the areas to inspect before a design is finalized.

How long will the wrap last?

It depends on the film, finish, preparation, exposure and care. Printed graphics and color-change films have their own conditions, and horizontal surfaces can age differently from the sides. The selected material and applicable cover should be explained for your installation rather than promising every RV the same number of years.

Can the vinyl be removed later?

Yes, but removal depends on the film's age, the surface and its condition. Adhesive residue may remain, and weak paint or deteriorated gelcoat can be vulnerable. A small-area assessment helps establish the approach. Freshly exposed areas may also differ in color from surfaces that weathered uncovered.

How long does RV wrapping take?

The design, amount of coverage, old-film removal and surface preparation determine the schedule. Printed artwork needs approval and production before fitting. Share your travel date early so the workshop can discuss a collection estimate for the actual work.

Is wrapping the same as paint protection film?

No. Decorative vinyl primarily changes the color or carries graphics. Paint protection film is a different material chosen for physical paint protection. An RV vinyl wrap should not be treated as impact-proof bodywork or a repair for worn surfaces.
