A different atmosphere after dark

Interior Car Lighting In Dubai

A soft line across the dashboard. A glow around the doors. A colour that feels right for your cabin. At Wrapping.ae in Al Quoz 4, we plan and install interior car lighting around the look you want, the areas you use and the controls that suit your vehicle.

Choose a subtle footwell upgrade, lighting across the cabin or a separate starlight roof design.

Interior lighting prices in Dubai

Dubai market examples include AED 1,500 for ambient kit fitting alone, with the kit additional, and a separate standard starlight roof installation from AED 1,800. These cover different work, and the sources do not state whether VAT is included.

Your car's trim design also affects the work. A replacement trim kit, carefully fitted light guides and a simple accessory strip can have very different finished appearances.

Ambient kit fitting only

Installation labour for a compatible lighting kit. Hardware is additional.

Follow the shape of your interior

Fine cabin lines or a starry roof?

The strongest design starts with where the light belongs. Use dashboard and door accents to draw out the cabin's shape, or make the roof a feature of its own.

Dashboard, doors and footwells

Dashboard and door lighting can create a connected line around the cabin. Footwell lighting adds a lower glow without making every surface a feature. Choose the areas visible from your usual seating position, then decide whether rear passengers should have matching lighting.

For a restrained result, begin with one colour and a low brightness setting. A brighter demonstration helps you compare colours, but the everyday setting can be much softer. Even illumination and discreet trim placement matter as much as the number of modes.

Focused upgrade
Footwells or selected cabin accents for a smaller visual change.
Broader design
Coordinated dashboard, doors and footwells, with each area included in the quote.
Daytime finish
Consider visible light guides, joints and how the trim looks with the lights off.

A fibre optic starlight headliner

A starlight roof uses fibre optic points through the headlining to create a scattered star effect. It changes the ceiling rather than tracing the dashboard. The layout, roof shape and any sunroof or panoramic glass determine the usable area.

Choose the density and arrangement around the feeling you want inside the car. Roof access and headliner work make this a separate installation from ambient strips. If you are renewing the roof lining or seats, discuss the lighting alongside car upholstery work so the finish and fitting can be planned together.

Main feature
Small points of light across suitable headliner areas.
Design choice
Placement and brightness, with any additional effects specific to the selected system.
Separate scope
Roof lighting does not automatically include dashboard, door or footwell lighting.

Colour is only part of the choice

Choose controls you will enjoy using

Start with easy dimming and a steady colour you like. App control, a separate controller and factory-screen integration are different options, with compatibility checked for your car.

Control choiceHow it fits everyday useWhat affects the choice
App controlChange supported colours, brightness and modes from the kit's phone app.The selected controller, compatible phone and pairing method. Adjust settings while parked.
Remote or dedicated controlUse a separate remote, button or controller without opening a phone app.Available functions and a practical controller location that keeps normal cabin controls clear.
Factory-screen integrationUse the car's original lighting menus when a compatible retrofit supports them.Model, year, equipment and supported electronics. CAN bus compatibility or coding cannot be assumed.

An OEM-style appearance describes the look. It does not automatically mean genuine factory parts or integration with the original screen.

A tidy result in daylight too

Fit the lighting to the car

The dashboard shape, door construction and existing equipment decide how a lighting design can be fitted. Send the make, model and year with interior photographs so we can discuss a suitable approach before your visit.

If you are changing trim colours, plan the lighting alongside your interior wrap. A bright trim finish reflects light differently from a darker surface, and both changes may involve the same panels.

For a wider cabin refresh, assess the seats before choosing new upholstery. Car seat cleaning can address dirt and some marks, while tears or worn coverings need repair.

Factory ambient lighting varies between trim levels. Two cars of the same model can need different parts or fitting plans.

  1. Agree the look and coverage

Choose the areas, colour style and controls. We review trim condition and access, including any existing lights. Extra door areas, a roof feature or replacement trim should be part of the agreed work from the start.

  2. Plan the installation around existing systems

Power supply, circuit protection and wiring routes need to suit the selected equipment. Wiring and light fittings must stay clear of airbag deployment areas, pedals and moving seats. Door functions, vents and switches should remain accessible.

  3. Check the finish and show you the controls

Review the lighting with the trim refitted, test the selected functions and check how it switches off. At handover, set a comfortable brightness and learn how to change colours. Keep cleaning liquids away from controllers and electrical connections.

Before you book

Useful answers about interior lighting

Your preferred look is the starting point. The vehicle and selected system determine the fitting details.

Can you add ambient lighting if my car has none?

An aftermarket system may be suitable even without factory ambient lighting. The interior layout, available mounting positions and electrical setup determine the options. Model-specific trim can give a different result from a universal accessory kit, so send interior photos with your vehicle details.

How long does fitting take?

A simple footwell installation requires less work than routing lighting through several doors and the dashboard. A starlight roof adds headliner work. We give an estimated collection time after reviewing the selected areas, parts and access, so you can plan around the actual installation.

Will the lights drain the battery?

They can if they remain powered while the car is parked. LEDs still use electricity, and vehicle power outlets do not all switch off in the same way. Power-off behaviour is part of the fitting plan and handover. Do not leave an accessory lighting system running for prolonged periods with the engine off.

Can I change the colours or use music effects?

That depends on the kit. Some systems offer app or remote colour selection, dimming and music-responsive modes. Choose those functions before installation. Set controls while parked and keep brightness comfortable, avoiding distracting reflections. Ambient lighting does not replace instrument or reading lights.

Can the lighting be removed later?

Removal depends on how it is mounted and connected. Adhesive can leave residue, while replacement trim or headliner work may involve more permanent changes. Tell us if reversibility matters, particularly for a leased car, so the installation approach can be discussed before fitting.

What about my vehicle warranty?

Any parts or workmanship cover is separate from the vehicle warranty. We can explain the proposed fitting method and selected equipment. For a car under warranty or lease, check the relevant provider's conditions before authorising a modification.
