Start with the size of the job
Our published single-panel and stripe ranges give useful starting guidance. A full MINI price depends on the actual body style and selected product. A three-door hatch, Clubman and Countryman have different panel sizes and fitting details.

A full MINI wrap needs the actual body style. A hatchback, Clubman and Countryman have different panel sizes, openings and trim. We quote the complete exterior separately rather than assign a generic sedan price. Your model and preferred finish are enough to start.
Look at the whole car
A black roof with white hood stripes gives a different result from matching roof, mirrors and stripes. There is no single correct combination. Start with the body color and the parts you intend to keep.
A digital preview helps with layout, but it cannot reproduce every metallic effect or exact sheen. For printed designs, agree artwork preparation, included revisions, film and laminate before production. Do not assume a standard stripe price includes a new illustrated roof design.
A physical sample is the final reference for a solid color. For printed work, approve the production layout as well as the overall idea. This helps avoid a stripe or graphic ending in the wrong place.

A panoramic roof does not mean there is nothing to wrap. It means the painted surround and the glass must be treated as different surfaces.
A fresh design starts below the film
Paint exposed around an old stripe may look different from the paint underneath it. Changing the stripe outline can reveal that contrast, even after the adhesive is gone.
With a healthy surface, the new design can be aligned without following the old stripe. Any additional preparation is priced and approved before the new material is fitted.
Wax, sealant and existing coatings can affect adhesion. Share the car’s paint and coating history if you know it.
Peeling clear coat, corrosion and rough repairs are not fixed by vinyl. Texture may show through, and removal can pull weak paint.
A fresh repaint needs the paint supplier’s curing guidance. No single waiting period suits every repair.
Small trim still needs a surface check. Smooth painted mirror caps and textured black wheel arches are different substrates. Confirm compatibility before adding them to the design.

The examples below are planning estimates drawn from our published panel and stripe guides. They are not past customer jobs. The written quote sets the exact product, preparation, VAT and final total.
A solid-color wrap on a sound painted metal roof using the selected 3M vinyl. Glass is excluded and mirror caps are separate. The intended result is a contrasting roof while the body stays its original color. Removal of an old roof wrap is additional work.
A custom hood stripe layout with the number of stripes, width and center gap agreed first. The example covers the chosen hood design rather than an entire roof-to-tail graphic. Existing stripes, adhesive removal and paint correction are separately assessed.
For a full-body project, compare the same material and included panels across quotes. One price might exclude the roof or mirror caps. Another might include dismantling or removal. Those differences can matter more than the headline number.
Book around the actual work
Allow a few days for a complete color change. Separate the time needed to prepare artwork or order film from the time your MINI stays at the workshop. Your fitting slot and collection plan are agreed for the actual work.
Less coverage can mean a shorter fitting visit, but old material and adhesive still need assessment. Confirm whether removal and refitting happen in the same visit.
A full wrap needs preparation, fitting and a final inspection. Printed designs also need approved artwork and production time. Arrange arrival after the material and design are ready.
Paint repair or a weak existing finish can change the schedule. Do not plan collection around film application alone.
Share the model and the change you want. View a finish sample and agree the outline of any graphics. For color changes, check the current registration and approval requirements before installation.
The car is assessed, cleaned and prepared for the selected material. Paint repairs, old adhesive and existing coatings are dealt with as agreed work, not silently covered over.
Vinyl is fitted to the approved panels. The installer plans edges, recesses and any necessary joins. Trim access and refitting should be part of the written scope if required.
Review stripe alignment, roof edges, handles and any original-color areas left visible. Collect the material details, care instructions and applicable warranty terms. Raise a concern while the car is still at handover.
