Choose the change that matters

Three ways to make it yours

Love the original color but want more contrast? You may only need stripes or one panel. Want the whole car to feel different? Compare a full exterior wrap before spending on several disconnected accents.

01

A complete new color

Change the agreed painted exterior to one coordinated finish. Good for a major visual change while retaining the existing paint beneath, provided that paint is suitable.

Your benefit A consistent look across the body, instead of a collection of unrelated details.
02

A stronger hood or roof

Use a contrasting hood, fixed painted roof or trunk to draw attention to one area. Select the boundaries around vents, glass and trim before fitting.

Your benefit A focused change with a smaller area to pay for and maintain.
03

A recognizable stripe design

Choose dual stripes, a single center stripe or side accents. Their width, spacing and start and finish points should suit your car’s actual panels.

Your benefit Keep much of the original color visible while changing the car’s character.

Know what the number buys

Mustang wrap prices explained

Single-panel and stripe work has a useful starting budget. A complete Mustang exterior needs a vehicle-specific quote because a standard coupe, convertible, modified Shelby-style body and Mach-E do not have interchangeable coverage.

  1. One painted panel

    AED 1,200–2,000

One hood, fixed roof or trunk. The selected film, vents and surface preparation affect the final figure.

  2. Custom racing stripes

    AED 1,800–2,500

The agreed stripe layout, width and covered panels. Old stripe removal must be listed separately.

  3. Full exterior color change

    Vehicle-specific quote

Painted body panels, bumpers and agreed mirrors or spoiler surfaces. Check door jambs and hidden edges separately.

  4. Printed graphics or specialty film

    Design-specific quote

Artwork, film, any required laminate and fitting. A printed design is a different job from a solid-color film.

  5. Old wrap or stripe removal

    Condition-based quote

The area, film age, adhesive residue and paint condition determine the work. Photos help with the initial discussion.

These are published planning ranges from our wrap price guide. They are not a fixed fitted offer or a confirmed VAT-inclusive total. Your written quote needs to list the film, fitting, preparation, any removal, VAT and the amount payable before you book.

Keep the comparison fair. A roof price is not a full-car price. A sedan category range is not a confirmed Mustang coupe package. Any promotion should name its original price, included work and expiry.

Small changes with a clear purpose

Get the stripe proportions right

A stripe can look right on the hood and awkward at the bumper. Plan the whole route before the first piece is fitted. A simple mockup on photos makes the width, gap and stops easier to judge than a color name alone.

Dual center stripes

For a symmetrical layout. Decide whether the two stripes continue across the roof and trunk, and how their spacing meets vents and badges.

Single center stripe

For one stronger focal line. Check the stripe width against the hood shape so it does not swallow the details you want to show.

Side and rocker accents

For a lower, lengthwise detail. Position the graphic around doors and wheel arches and decide whether any lettering is part of the design.

Before removing factory graphics Photograph their position and dimensions. A replacement design is easier to discuss when the original layout is recorded. Painted stripes need a different approach from removable vinyl.

For dedicated stripe work, see our racing stripe installation and removal service.

A Mustang is more than a model name

Fit the design to the bodywork

GT and EcoBoost coupes

The badge does not set the wrap price. Hood shape, bumpers, spoilers and modifications determine access, joins and film use. Send photos of changed parts as well as the year.

Convertibles

Painted body panels can be discussed separately from the folding roof. A fabric roof is not part of an exterior vinyl body wrap. Plan where stripes stop when there is no fixed painted roof.

Shelby and modified bodywork

Vents, splitters, sculpted bumpers and larger wings need a deliberate fitting plan. Smooth painted parts and textured or bare materials should not be treated as identical surfaces.

Classic Mustangs

Older paint, previous restorations and repaired panels need particular care. Establish the condition beneath existing graphics before planning removal or a new finish.

Mustang Mach-E

The Mach-E needs its own panel list and price. Its roof, tailgate and SUV body proportions differ from the coupe, so a GT stripe layout or coupe fitting allowance cannot be carried across unchanged.

Choose with your eyes and your routine

The finish changes the whole effect

Vinyl color swatches and a blue film roll on a car hood
Compare physical samples in sun and shade before choosing a film color.

Black, gray, blue and brighter colors can all look different in gloss, satin and matte. Metallic and color-shift films add another variable because their appearance changes with light and viewing angle.

Bring one favorite reference. It gives the team a direction. The final choice should still be a physical sample and a named film code.

Gloss

Choose it when you want strong reflections and a paint-like visual effect. It does not make a wrap identical to a sprayed finish.

Satin

Choose it for softer reflections while keeping some depth. Compare the sheen beside any gloss-black trim you want to retain.

Matte

Choose it for a flatter appearance. It needs care products that preserve the finish, so it suits an owner comfortable with that routine.

Texture or color shift

Use it when the changing effect or texture is the point of the design. Check orientation, joins and replacement availability before committing.

Choose the right kind of change

Vinyl wrap or PPF or paint

Choose by the result you need
Your priorityOption to compareWhat you should know
A new color on sound paintAutomotive color-change vinylChanges appearance without repainting every covered panel. Removal still depends on paint condition, film age and the removal method.
Stone-chip and impact protectionPurpose-made paint protection filmCompare PPF coverage. Styling vinyl is not an equivalent impact-protection package.
Peeling paint, rust or damaged clear coatPaint assessment and repairFilm does not rebuild a failing paint surface. Resolve unsuitable areas before a wrap is considered.
A permanent color restorationRepaintingCompare the full preparation and finishing work. A wrap is not automatically the cheaper choice over your planned ownership period.

For curved bodywork, the film series matters as much as the brand. Manufacturers such as 3M and Avery Dennison publish automotive wrap ranges and application instructions. Request a material suited to your panels, then have current supply and the applicable regional warranty included in the quote.

The details you see up close

A good finish is planned at the edges

Edges and original color

Discuss how far the film returns around each accessible edge. A contrasting original color may remain visible in panel gaps and door openings.

Joins and complex curves

Some parts need an inlay or join. Agree likely join positions instead of relying on an undefined promise of a seamless finish everywhere.

Handles and trim

Decide what is removed, what stays in place and how fittings are reinstalled. More dismantling is not automatically a better result.

Graphics and alignment

Check stripe spacing across panel gaps. Metallic or directional finishes also need consistent panel orientation.

Protect the finish underneath

Sort old film and paint first

An old wrap that is cracking, lifting or leaving adhesive needs attention before new film goes on. Covering it with another layer can leave visible edges and hide a condition that still needs to be assessed.

Sound original paint

A suitable, clean and stable surface is the starting point. Record chips and marks so the car’s condition is clear before work begins.

Repainted panels

Tell the team when and where repairs were made. Paint adhesion and curing matter. Fresh or weakened paint should not receive film on an assumed schedule.

Existing stripes or old vinyl

Budget removal as its own task. Different fading beneath old graphics may remain after they come off, and adhesive cleanup is not the same as paint repair.

Keep pre-installation photos and your invoice. They help explain the history of the car when you sell it later, but a wrap does not guarantee a higher resale value.

A schedule you can plan around

From design approval to handover

Allow a few days for color-change work as a planning guide. Material arrival, removal and paint preparation can extend the job. Agree the collection date after those details are assessed, especially if you need the car for a trip.

  1. Choose the look

Review samples and a panel or stripe layout. This is where a bold idea becomes a defined job.

  2. Agree the total

Set the film, preparation, covered areas and exclusions in writing before booking.

  3. Prepare and fit

Cleaning, agreed removal and fitting follow the selected material’s requirements. Time spent here affects the finish.

  4. Review the details

Walk around the car in good light. Check coverage, graphics, trim and care instructions before collection.

Before fitting and after collection

Paperwork and long-term care

Plan the registered color change first. Then keep the finish looking its best with care suited to the film and your daily use.

Before the color changes

Get the administration clear

  1. Check the permit and inspection

RTA directs licensed Dubai vehicle owners to obtain the color-change permit through Dubai Police. Confirm inspection and registration requirements before arranging the work.

  2. Confirm your particular design

Ask how partial graphics are treated. Check lease, finance and insurance conditions that apply to your Mustang.

  3. Keep the costs separate

Approval fees and administration are separate from fitting unless expressly included.

After collection

Four habits that protect the finish

Wash with care

Follow the supplied first-wash timing. Use compatible cleaning products and keep pressure away from film edges.

Clear spills promptly

Remove fuel and other contamination using the film maker’s method. Ask if you are unsure which cleaner is suitable.

Reduce sun exposure

Use shade or covered parking where practical. Roofs and hoods face different exposure from doors, and warranty terms can reflect that.

Respect the finish

Ask before polishing matte or satin film or adding a coating. The wrong treatment can change the appearance you chose.

Keep a record for later

Save the film series, color code, invoice and warranty terms. They help identify replacement film, although a new panel may not match an aged wrap perfectly.

Separate film and fitting support

Manufacturer cover concerns the supplied film under its applicable regional terms. Installation support concerns the fitted work. Keep each duration, covered issue, exclusions and claim contact in writing. Report lifting or a finish concern before attempting a repair.

Make every part of the price visible

What belongs in your Mustang quote

Use one itemized quote to compare the same job. A low stripe price and a full exterior price describe different amounts of work, even when both use the same film brand.

  • Film and fitting

The manufacturer, exact series, finish and color code should appear together with the fitting charge. A brand name alone does not identify the material being priced.

  • Covered panels

List exterior panels, mirrors, bumpers and spoiler surfaces. Door jambs, hidden returns, wheels, lights and glass must not be assumed to form part of a body wrap.

  • Preparation and extras

Separate cleaning from old-film removal, adhesive cleanup and paint repairs. Keep artwork, specialty finishes, trim work and approval fees visible as separate items where applicable.

  • The payable amount

Compare the subtotal, VAT, final total and quote validity on the same document. Check any deposit and collection payment terms before committing to a booking.

Questions before booking

Mustang Wrapping Questions

Still choosing between a full color change and a smaller detail? These answers address the decisions that commonly change the job.

Wrapping.ae is operated by AMF Auto Services LLC in Al Quoz, Dubai. Call before visiting to arrange a time with the workshop.

How much does a full Mustang wrap cost in Dubai?

A full Mustang exterior is quoted for the actual car. This page does not advertise a fixed full-body price. The published guides are AED 1,200–2,000 for one painted panel and AED 1,800–2,500 for stripes. Neither is a full-car package or a confirmed VAT-inclusive total.

Can you replace only one stripe or panel?

A selected area can be assessed for replacement. The original material, age, color and condition matter. New film may contrast with weathered surrounding film, so inspect the likely match before deciding how much to replace.

Are door jambs part of a full wrap?

Not automatically. Exterior panel coverage and door-jamb coverage are different amounts of work. Ask to see the planned boundaries, particularly when your original paint strongly contrasts with the new color.

Can a wrapped Mustang use an automatic car wash?

Use the care instructions for the installed film. Gentle hand washing is generally the safer routine. Avoid abrasive brushes and do not direct pressure at edges. The installer should provide the first-wash timing.

Does a full wrap include wheels and lights?

No. A body vinyl quote should list its painted panels. Wheels, lamps, glass and textured trim are different surfaces and should not be assumed included.

Is there a current Mustang discount?

Ask the team about a current written offer. There is no confirmed percentage promotion on this page. Any offer should identify the film, covered panels, original price, final total and expiry.

What should I send for an initial quote?

Send the model year, body style, preferred coverage and a few clear photos. Include old stripes, damaged paint and modified parts if present. You can discuss the color before choosing a final film.

How long does Mustang wrapping take?

A color change is a multi-stage job, with a few days used only as a planning guide. A stripe layout, old-film removal or repaired paint can change the schedule. The booking should identify material availability, fitting dates and expected collection.
